Literacy- Journalism

We have been wearing our press passes and attending ‘Journalism School’ in our Literacy lessons. Huw Edwards ( The BBC news presenter) has been given us tips via the internet. So far he has taught us that facts are the building blocks of the news. He has also taught us to include the 5W’s: What? Where? When? Why? Who?

After finding out what is going on around school, we have produced news broadcasts.(I think Huw may have some competition for his job!) We are still working to improve them but here is a sneak preview:

We will be applying the skills we have learnt and producing reports and articles about events during World War 2. This will include Dunkirk and D-day.

You can visit the websites below to keep up to date with the news:

We will keep you updated on our progress!
