Govilon Residential Trip
On this page you will find information about the Year 6 residential trip to Govilon. Thank you to all those parents that attended the information evening. This trip is always a highlight for Year 6 and I am sure they will have a fantastic time.
PLEASE ENSURE THE FOLLOWING FORMS IN YOUR INFORMATION PACK ARE RETURNED TO SCHOOL ASAP- Medical form & consent form with recent photograph attached.

When are we going? We leave for Govilon early on Monday 2nd July. Please make sure you are at school for 8am. We will return at approx 4.30 pm on Friday 6th July. We will keep you posted about our arrival time via text message.
Where are we staying?
Robert Jeffery Centre
What activities will the children do? Previous trips have included canoeing, waterfall walking, tunnel walking, orienteering, swimming and caving!

What do children need to take/pack?
Clothes that can get muddy. Jeans are not great as they are uncomfortable when wet – tracksuit bottoms are best
Sleeping bag / nightwear
Change of footwear
Slippers for the centre
Packed lunch for the first day
Wash stuff – toothpaste / brush / soap / towel x 2
Book to read / small game
Camera – disposable is best!
Please note the children will be provided with waterproofs and wellies.
What they do not need to take/pack!
Mobile / satnav
Nintendo DS / Gameboy / tamagotchi/PSP
MP3 player / radio / CD player / tv/IPOD/IPAD
Best video camera / digital camera
Best clothes / fashionable gear
Anything that they do not want lost, broken or stolen.
Medicines: All medicines should be clearly named & handed in to a member of staff on the morning we depart. You must complete a medicine form which you will find in your information pack. This includes travel sickness tablets for the return journey. We can not administer any medicine to your child unless you have completed the correct form and handed it in with the medicine.
Other important info:
– Children need to wear their blue school jumper to travel to Govilon. They do not need to wear full uniform.
– Maximum £5 spending money
– Please name all items of clothing …even pants!
– Children can take sweets but the centre rules do not allow children to eat these (or any other food) in the bedrooms.
